Conference outputs
Conference publications
The meeting had a high standard of presentations and there was significant interest from participants to be involved in the production of output material. Each speaker led a small breakout group to discuss their presentation and abstract with the aim of making improvements. A reviewed version will then be produced.
Currently the potential of a special interest book / journal issue is being discussed. All outputs will be published online.

In advance of the conference, speakers were asked to submit an abstract of their presentation which was complied into a conference working document. This was then discussed during the conference proceedings when delegates were invited to comment on and discuss the abstract.
This document covers a wide variety of issues and describes the process for implementing, managing and sustaining major carbon sequestration projects in tropical developing countries. It relates specifically to the dry tropical forests of Africa, and most case studies are from East Africa including Zambia, Mozambique and Uganda. However many of the themes are transferable to the development of projects in other areas.

Presentations from the meeting provide information to those wanting to learn more about the process of implementing and managing sustainable carbon sequestration projects in tropical developing countries. Issues of risk, permanence, governance and methodologies for carbon sink analysis were covered in the programme. Please download the presentations below.
